JL_Relink

Automate Your Read Node Paths.

Tired of manually relinking every Read node in Nuke?

JL_Relink is designed to instantly update the file paths of all Read nodes in your script, saving you time and avoiding the hassle of broken paths when switching between machines or directories.

🛠 Key Features:

  • Detects and updates all Read nodes with missing files

  • Supports relative and absolute path conversions

  • Optional dry-run mode for safe previews

  • Works with sequences, .movs, and custom file structures

  • Simple, clean UI for fast relinking in a few clicks

⚙️ How JL_Relink Works

  1. Set the Project Directory

First, you select your main project folder (the root you want to use from now on).

  2. Choose the Path Segment to Replace

Then, you pick the portion of the current file paths that should be replaced with [value root].

  3. Auto-Relink

JL_Relink goes through all Read nodes (and other supported nodes like ReadGeo, Camera2, etc.) and updates their file paths, converting them to use the new relative structure.

  4. Optional: Dry Run Mode

You can preview all changes before applying them, so you stay in control.
